Jolena Ramey Recognized at Union College's Honors Day Convocation

2013 Apr 22

Jolena Angeline Ramey of Lily was recently recognized at Union College's annual Honors Day Convocation.

Ramey won the Yetta Frank and Billie Lynch non-traditional Student Education Award, given to a full-time non-traditional senior female student with dependent children. The eligible student must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher based on total hours earned at Union College. The award was presented to Ramey by Dr. Jason Reeves. It is given in honor of Yetta Frank and Billie Lynch, who are the mothers of Carol Lynch ('08) and former Education faculty member Steven Lynch.

Ramey was one of only 30 Union students to receive an award at this year's ceremony. The ceremony for the Honors Day Convocation took place at the Conway Boatman Chapel on Union campus Thursday, April 18 at 9:30 a.m.
