2013 Sep 18

Each year, Virginia Gay Gandy, D.M.A., associate professor of music at Union College, holds auditions for Union Harmony, a highly select ensemble of 8-10 singers. Kelli Hensley of Berea, was selected as one of the members for the 2013-2014 school year.

Hensley, a junior at Union, will be singing soprano for Union Harmony, which is a featured performance group at many campus events throughout the year. Gandy, who is director of the choir, said the ensemble is a diverse group who can provide a unique service to the school.

"A variety of majors are represented in the group and there are freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors in this year's ensemble," Gandy said. "In addition to singing at all major choral concerts, Union Harmony presents music at many college events, such as convocations, Hanging of the Greens, Homecoming Service, Honors Day, Baccalaureate, etc. They are a busy group who serve Union College with their outstanding talent."
