Sam Anderson Recognized for Theatrical Achievement at Union College

The Union College chapter of Alpha Psi Omega, a nation theater honors society, recently held its 26th Annual Awards Gala. Sam Anderson of Corbin was recognized at this gala.

Anderson, a Sophomore at Union College, received the award for Best Newcomer. Nominess must participate in at least two shows for the season. Sam played the role of Wayne in "Amateurs" and the role of Geoffrey in "The Lion in Winter."

The annual awards gala was held the evening of Saturday, April 14 in the Rector Little Theatre in Conway Boatman Chapel on Union College's campus. It coincided with a retirement celebration for Dr. Rebecca Pettys, director of the Union College Theatre Department.
