Samson Warren Recognized at Union College's Honors Day Convocation

Samson Warren of Hinkle was recently recognized at Union College's annual Honors Day Convocation.

Warren a sophomore at Union, won the John Henry Wilson Sophomore Award given to the sophomore from the Fifth Congressional District of Kentucky who has the highest scholastic average for the year based on total hours earned at Union College. Warren also received the Rev. Charles Hansel Annual Award in Religion and Philosophy given to a student who best demonstrates an understanding of one or more critical issues in the philosophy of religion. The awards were presented to Warren by Union's president Dr. Thomas McFarland and -- respectively.

Warren was one of only 35 Union students to recieve an award at this year's ceremony. The ceremony for the Honors Day Convocation took place at the Conway Boatman Chapel on Union campus Thursday, April 12 at 9:30 a.m.
